Walklings
Privacy Policy
A transparent guide to how the app is used and how data is handled.
Effective date: May 24, 2026
This English version is provided for convenience. If there is any conflict in interpretation, the Korean version prevails.
The developer of Walklings processes your personal information and health-related data only to the extent necessary, and operates the developer contact and support channels shown on the app stores as the point of contact for privacy inquiries.
Information We Collect
To provide walk records and step rewards, Walklings may read step counts and related fitness and wellness data through Health Connect, HealthKit, and physical activity permissions.
Depending on how you use the features, we may process walk dates, step counts, coins, milestones, character images, growth progress, account identifiers, sync identifiers, in-app purchase status, reward-ad processing records, device information, OS information, and error logs.
How We Use Information
Step counts are used for coin rewards, daily walk records, growth progress, and share card generation. Health data is not used for ad targeting, sale to third parties, or user identification.
Account, purchase, reward-ad, and device and error information is used to keep you signed in, sync data, restore purchases, verify reward payouts, prevent abuse, respond to incidents, and handle customer inquiries.
Share Pages and Public Scope
A share page includes only the walk date, step count, coins, milestone, and public character image that you choose to share. User IDs, health account IDs, and persistent character IDs are not included in the share URL.
Retention and Disposal
Walk records, growth progress, and account and sync information are kept for as long as necessary to provide the service and maintain your account. When you request account deletion or the purpose of use is fulfilled, we delete the relevant information without delay or store it separately in a non-recoverable form.
Records that must be retained under law—such as e-commerce, payment, consumer dispute, and abuse-response records—are kept for the period set by the applicable law and then destroyed. Health data and permission information stored only on the device follow your OS settings and the app uninstall flow.
Third-Party Provision and Processing Consignment
Except where required by law or where you choose to use the share feature yourself, Walklings does not sell raw health data externally or provide it to third parties.
When you use in-app purchases, rewarded ads, error analytics, or cloud sync, the App Store, Google Play, ad providers, and error-analytics or cloud-service providers may process information to the extent necessary to provide each feature. In such cases, we manage things so that only the information needed for feature provision, payment processing, reward verification, and incident response is shared with the provider.
Overseas Transfer
The App Store, Google Play, ad providers, and error-analytics or cloud-service providers may process information on infrastructure located overseas. If we add a feature that involves overseas transfer or change providers, we will update this policy so you can review the transferred items, purpose, and retention period.
Your Rights
You can grant or withdraw Health Connect, HealthKit, and physical activity permissions at any time in the app and OS settings. Withdrawing permission may limit some features such as step rewards, walk records, and growth progress.
You can request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, suspend its processing, withdraw consent, or delete your account. Requests are received through the developer contact or support channel shown on the app stores and are handled in accordance with the law after identity verification.
Security Measures
Walklings limits access to personal information to the necessary scope, uses secure connections when transmitting over the network, and manages access to the accounts and data stores needed to operate the service. Error logs and inquiry records are reviewed only to the extent necessary to resolve issues.
Children's Personal Information
Walklings is not primarily intended for children under the age of 14. If we provide a feature that requires processing the personal information of children under 14, we will establish a legal-guardian consent procedure and separate notice.
Contact
Privacy inquiries, exercise of rights, and complaint handling can be requested through the developer contact or support channel shown on the app stores. If this policy changes, we will update the effective date and content on this page.
